Senate Bill 2276
Post Date: 2-16-2009
Description of Bill:
This bill mandates that the anticipated loss ratio for health insurance plans be disclosed to the consumer at the initial policy application or coverage and at any time the plan's premium changes thereafter in clear language that makes it clear what portion of premium covers administrative profit.
Recommendation:
We oppose this bill because it adds another layer of disclosure which is
of little concern to the consumer.
Current Status:
Fail in the Senate, 18-27
